Aretas Trustees

Nadeem is a senior professional trustee with a portfolio which includes DB schemes with assets of over £3bn. He has worked for over 20 years within pensions as an Actuary, and strategic adviser to sponsors and trustees and as a senior professional trustee. This broad range of DB experience has given Nadeem insight into different views – the trustee view, the strategy advisor view and the sponsor view.

Nadeem was a senior member of PwC’s Midlands practice for eight years as a strategic adviser to sponsors of pension schemes before moving to professional trusteeship in 2018 in a board-level role, where he led on strategy and innovation across the firm.

During a break from trusteeship in 2023, Nadeem joined Hymans Robertson’s risk transfer team. As a senior adviser he led buy-in and buyout transactions, including a £20 billion scheme, and provided advisory services to a pensions ‘superfund’.

Before entering the world of pensions Nadeem worked as a Management Consultant providing strategic advice utilising stochastic modelling and scenario-based analysis. Nadeem is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries, member of the Association of Professional Pension Trustees (APPT) and co-founder of the “Diversity in Pensions” initiative.
