
Trevor Williams is the former chief economist of Lloyds Bank. His extensive experience covers financial markets, econometric modelling, banking markets, analysis of the UK and global economy and financial market risk. Topical issues such as global trade, the housing market, demographics, the fourth industrial revolution, ‘big’ data, long term global mega trends and the future of manufacturing are areas he has focussed on.
Trevor runs his own consultancy and is co-founder of FXGuard, a fintech based risk management tool for SMEs to manage foreign exchange risk exposure.
He is visiting Professor at the University of Derby and St Marys University and rotating Chair of the IEA’s Shadow Monetary Policy Committee. He is author of Trading Economics and writes a monthly column in Moneyfacts.
